Apollo Power Facilitated Volvo's Peenya Plant Expansion by Relocating EHT Lines

Overview: Volvo, a globally renowned automobile manufacturer, planned to expand its key production plant in Peenya, India. However, the expansion was impeded by the presence of Extra High Tension (EHT) power lines running through the property. These EHT lines posed significant logistical and safety challenges, necessitating their relocation before any expansion work could commence.

Location: Bangalore

Work Done by Apollo:

  • Conducted a thorough site assessment to map the exact routes and potential impact zones of the 66 kV power lines.
  • Developed engineering designs and implemented modifications to accommodate the expansion.
  • Engaged with regulatory authorities and obtained the necessary approvals.
  • Completed the entire re-routing with six lattice towers accommodating 66 kV circuits.

Our Achievement:

  • Streamlined and minimized bureaucratic processes and government approvals for Volvo.
  • Efficiently utilized space, saving approximately 1.5 acres of land for future expansion.
